What We’re Looking For
- Experience in the R&D or engineering consulting function of large steel companies.
- Hands-on experience implementing capex or operational projects in steel manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of steelmaking technologies and plant processes.
- Experience executing process improvement projects within a steel plant.
- Ability to build basic models to assess impact of interventions.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with plant, technical, and leadership teams.
What You’ll Do
This role leads strategic and technical decarbonisation initiatives for steel-sector clients, driving research, project execution, and measurable operational impact. You’ll be responsible for:
- Lead decarbonisation programs across steel plants, from assessment to execution.
- Work with plant leadership and technical teams to identify improvement levers and implement process changes.
- Drive research, benchmarking, and modelling to evaluate technology options and project impact.
- Oversee capex and operational project implementation aligned with sustainability goals.
- Translate complex technical insights into structured plans and recommendations.
- Track project progress, ensure on-ground adoption, and report measurable emissions reductions.
